The Girl in the Sand
Today she went on the beach. She walked beside the ocean as it sounded off. And as it touched the sand, she took off her slippers and let her toes feel every grain through each one. Her sister said that white sand are nothing but poop particles from a fish that shits out sand. Cool. She wondered why the sand felt so soft and better than other colored sands. It doesn't matter to her. Beautiful shit. Literally.
Her body feels tense. She stretches. Aware of being seen doing her stretches. She thinks, not to worry. Don't worry about what other people think. She began to stretch. It felt good. She did more stretches. Her lips curved into a smirk. This feels good. There's music nearby with a nice rhythm, so she starts to dance. Ironically, not to the nearby music, but to her own. No tunes, no beat, no sound….. Just "soul dancing." Moving around fluently as groups of people pass, as loners pass, as the wind pass. She dances. It turns into a workout, she dances some more. It feels good. She feels good. She listens to the water and thanks God for allowing her to Be. Then she leaves, she sighs….Hhhmmm…
What is she doing? That girl or lady in the sand? Ohh.. She's dancing. Wasn't she just stretching? Interesting. She's not on beat with the bar music. Get on beat will you? Actually, its sort of mesmerizing. So, I'll keep looking. Fluid movements. She must be a dancer. What the…? Why is she hopping on one foot, and then the other, is she trying to balance herself? She's laughing. She's dancing. She's working out… I think. She's by herself. She's enjoying herself. That's nice. I think I'll try that myself tomorrow. ….."Hey buddy, we're leaving!"
I wonder if someone was watching me. It felt like it. I always feel like someone is watching me at some point throughout the day. Like really intentionally watching me. What if someone was? I wonder what their thoughts were. Stop worrying about it will you? Just be. That's what you're going for right. To be… be unapologetically human… without the intrusive thoughts to alter your natural movements. Chill. Breathe. Relax. Continue walking…. Through the sand.
